Studio Oren Sagiv was established in 2004 and has since focused on architectural installations in close collaboration with the arts. The studio has created numerous spaces and structures for the world’s leading museums, galleries and cultural events and festivals, as well as for dance, theatre and perfomances. The studio is active in designing unique ephemeral structures reacting on specific urban situations and thus exploring and investigating possible forms and programs in the city’s fabric.
Oren is a professor of architecture at the Department of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy for Art and Design in Jerusalem, where he serves as the pedagogical coordinator for the first year studies.
Oren is also the chief designer of the Israel Museum, the largest cultural institute in Israel, where he is leading the Museum’s in-house design team, as well as external designers in the design of more than 20 temporary exhibitions per year and spanning an area of more than 20,000 square meters.
Oren’s work has been presented in various exhibitions as well as international theory symposia and was published in international architectural publications. Oren completed his studies in Architecture at Cooper Union in New York, and later studied Philosophy of Science in Tel Aviv University.
